Our website and/or service does not intend to collect information about website visitors who are under the age of 16. Unless they have permission from parents or guardians. Our online store is developed with software from WooCommerce. Personal data that you make available to us for our services are shared with this party. WooCommerce has access to your data to provide us with (technical) support, they will never use your data for any other purpose. WooCommerce is obliged by the agreement Unknown Rugs has with them to take appropriate security measures.These security measures include the use of SSL encryption and a strong password policy. WooCommerce uses cookies to collect technical information regarding your use of the software, no personal data is collected and/or stored. WooCommerce reserves the right to share collected data within its own group of business in order to further improve services.
WooCommerce hosting
The webshop of Unknown Rugs is developed with software of WooCommerce, we have chosen Remedia / Vimexx for our web hosting. Personal information that you provide to us for our services will be shared with this party. Remedia / Vimexx has access to your information to provide Unknown Rugs (technical) support, they will never use your information for any other purpose. Remedia / Vimexx is, based on the agreement we have made with them, obliged to take appropriate security measures. These security measures consist of the application of SSL encryption and a strong password policy. Regular backups are made to prevent loss of data.
Web hosting
Remedia / Vimexx
We use web hosting and e-mail services provided by Remedia / Vimexx. Remedia / Vimexx processes personal information on behalf of Unknown Rugs and does not use your information for its own purposes. However, this party may collect metadata about the use of the services. This is not personal data. Remedia / Vimexx has appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent loss and unauthorized use of your personal data. Remedia / Vimexx is under the contract to secrecy.

We use the services of Remedia / Vimexx for our regular business email communication. This party has appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent abuse, loss and corruption of your and our data as much as possible. Remedia / Vimexx has no access to our mailbox, and we treat all our email traffic confidentially.

Mollie
For handling (part of) the payments in our store, we use the platform of Mollie. Mollie processes your name, address and city details and your payment information such as your bank account or credit card number. Mollie has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. Mollie reserves the right to use your data to further improve its services, and in this context to share (anonymized) data with third parties. All of the above guarantees regarding the protection of your personal data also apply to the parts of Mollie’s services for which it engages third parties. Supplier (tapestry products)
Tapestry products, such as woven blankets, are shipped by our supplier from China. In order to deliver these products, data is shared with the supplier such as your name, address and city information. This data is necessary for the shipment of your order and is only provided for the fulfillment of the agreement.
Shipping
PostNL (floor/wall/custom/tufted rugs)
If you place an order for a handmade rug from us, our job is to get your package delivered to you. To do this, we use the services of PostNL to carry out the deliveries. It is therefore necessary that we share your name, address and residence information with PostNL. PostNL uses this data solely for the purpose of executing the agreement. If PostNL engages subcontractors, PostNL will also make your data available to these parties.
Yanwen (tapestry products)
When you place an order for a tapestry product from us, our job is to get your package delivered to you. We use the services of Yanwen to carry out these deliveries. This requires us to share your name, address and place of residence with Yanwen. Yanwen uses these data only for the purpose of executing the agreement. To keep our administration and bookkeeping records, we use the software package Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Here we record your name, address and place of residence and details regarding your order. These details are used to administrate sales invoices. Your personal data will be transmitted and stored in a protected manner. We are bound to secrecy and will treat your data as confidential. Your personal data will not be used for purposes other than the above.
Passing on
The data Unknown Rugs receives from you will only be processed in the European Union, unless you place an order outside the European Union or if you purchase a tapestry product. Depending on your order and delivery address, the data will be shared with the necessary parties essential for the fulfillment of the agreement.

Unknown Rugs only uses technical and functional cookies (via Google). And analytical cookies that do not infringe on your privacy.
